If you like different ways in which to enjoy your tipple, then Birkedal Hartmann’s Passion XO is likely to be right up your street. Cognac-Expert.com reported about Passion XO the first time at last year’s Vinexpo in Bordeaux.
Mixing a blend of XO luxury cognac with natural fruit juices, Passion XO has proved a hit since it’s inception in June 2011. At Vinexpo that year, the latest creation from the Cognac house was announced, and in October 2011 the liqueur was rolled out in New York City.
2013 Target: 900,000 bottles in the US
Since August this year, 72,000 bottles have been exported to the USA, of which 60,000 have already been sold. This is only the tip of the iceberg, as distribution so far has only been to Indiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Illinois. But fear not, because five more states will be introduced as export destinations by March 2013.
But it’s not only consumers in the US who’ll be able to try Passion XO, as at the beginning of 2013 the liqueur will be rolled out in Canada, Guadeloupe, Martinique, China, France, Switzerland, Norway and Morocco.
So what is it, exactly?
Well, there are three versions of Passion XO: Pomegranate, Passion Fruit and Blue Curacao. Each can be enjoyed on ice or, for a refreshing twist, as part of a cocktail.
