A “Fine old liqueur brandy” that was bottled in Cognac. The Cru is Grande Fine Champagne, and a big 1893 is on the label.
Basic label description of a Cognac: Trade Mark, PRODUCE OF FRANCE N. BARRIASSON & Co, Cognac.
On the bottom of the label it reads: Maison Fondée en 1850 – that means, the Cognac house of Barriasson was founded in 1850. Also it reads “70° PROOF”.
Thanks for your insights about this nice Cognac bottle. Perhaps someone knows more about the brand itself – would be great.
