A reader sent us a really old bottle from 1914 or even older? He wrote “The bottle was given to me some years ago by my father-in-law. He gave it to me during his kitchen remodel.

He put it in a cabinet of his kitchen and forgot about it. While remodeling his kitchen our reader rediscovered the bottle buried deep under a bunch of clutter.

(If you also have a Cognac bottle you would like to sell, or you need information about age or value – send us photos and information, just submit: Use this form – but please be aware: if you don’t follow the steps precisely, we will not publish your bottle.)

Hello, I have a question for you. I work for an auction house and have a potential consignor that has a bottle of 1908 Chateau de Laubade Armagnac and had a few questions that hopefully you could help me with. The first being any idea on what the value would be. I have found it on a few sites for approximately $5,000. I have found older vintages by the same producer for more money, so why is the 1908 worth more? The next question is if we decide not to take it in for an auction would your site be interested in selling it? I am afraid that since the auction house focuses mainly on wine that our clients may not be interested. If not do you have another site you can recommend? Thank you for your help. Ryan

I also have one of these bottles. The odd part is that this bottle contains four different cognacs. I have the original weave basket that the bottle came in and also have the four pouters. Apparently, once the bottle is opened, there are four separate openings to insert the separate pourers. My bottle also has a red ribbon/ bow around the neck.
Does anybody have an idea of the value of this?
