So, no-one can say that cognac never ceases to surprise us (and that’s not just some of the wonderful taste sensations that delight when we get to try a new product…)

But when we came across a new cognac that’s being marketed from a company known as L’Artisan, we have to admit to being extremely happy to have discovered it.

Called simply, No 50, this is an exclusive run of only 485 bottles, and is the creation of jewellery heir, Evan Yurman, and his partner, Nicolas Palazzi.  They have gathered together some of the oldest and prized eaux-de-vie from various artisan growers in the cognac region, and have blended them together to create a 43.6 ABV cognac.  The blend is an exclusive mix of cognacs dating back to the early 1960s.

We don’t yet know the price of a bottle of L’Artisan No 50, but as soon as we do, we’ll be sure to let you know.
