One half of a glittering show biz superstar couple (he’s married to Beyoncé Knowles), the rapper launched the VSOP Cognac at a private party last night in New York.
Cognac D’ussé (pronounced dew-say, to clear up any confusion once and for all) is Bacardi’s very publicly launched competitor to Hennessy, Remy Martin and Martell Cognac, and is being directly targeted at a young, cool audience. Signing up a name such as Jay-Z to promote this is nothing less than marketing genius, and one that already has the music world abuzz.

The cognac will join the hip hop star’s lengthening list of promotional products, which include the Ace of Spades Champagne, more accurately referred to as Armand de Brignac Champagne.
For now, D’Usse Cognac is only available in New York City. Cognac-Expert.com was told that D’Usse will be concentrating on US East Coast cities, then West Coast.
