There is a sense of Cognac in the Metro of Paris. On my trip to Paris I had to stop while taking the underground Metro and take some pictures of what I saw: The Poitou Charente administration launched a tourism campaign for the Charente region, underlining the beauty of the region with mentioning the time how long it takes to get there by train.
La Rochelle, an important Cognac town and beautiful as well – only 2 hours and 50 away from the Seine river with its cafés and restaurants.

The “Charente ad lineup” in the Metro, Paris.

A classic Cognac image: A roman church and vineyards: “Cognac, Un vignboble, une saveur” – takes three hours and ten minutes to go there.

The islands of Ré, Oléron – the town of Royan: important towns and places of the Atlantic coast. 2 hours and 50 minutes to get there. “Le charme du littoral atlantique”

And finally presenting the area of Niort, only 2 hours and 15 minutes by train. “Pays du vélo et des chemins d’eau”
