Art meets Cognac! A new limited edition cognac is on its way to the market, courtesy of braastad cognac »”>Braastad Cognac in collaboration with Snøhetta and Magne Furuholmen, a Norwegian artist and musician.

Braastad Cognac XO Contemporary is a limited edition bottle that boasts cool, sleek lines and a contemporary image that’s generally associated with spirits litke Vodka or Gin these days, not Cognac. But as we all know, the world of Cognac is undergoing a rejuvenation – so it’s not surprising that a Cognac house like Braastad turns to a contemporary artist for inspiration. The design combines the ‘craftsmanship and heritage of the Norwegian Braastad family in the historic business of Cognac production inspired by Furuholmen’s art piece’.

The bottle design combines the letters that make up the words ‘Contemporary’ and ‘XO’. They are based on a pair of limited edition prints that were specially created for this very bottle. The idea was to combine the classic French tradition with light, minimalist Scandinavian design – and the end result is striking.
