“If you have a problem. You can write to them. The C Team.”
This time in “You’ve got a bottle?”: A reader send us photos and questions on his old bottle of Vieux Cognac Fins Bois. A bottle with a nice front label but no producer named.. there is no label on tha back. An unkown beauty.
The text on the front label is: VIEUX COGNAC FINS BOIS.
The reader has recently received this bottle of his grandfather and now is looking for information on this bottle. The cork on looks like lead or tin material along with a bit of red through it.
Our reader’s family says the bottle was bought for the christning of his late father so this would makes the bottle being in the family for over 75 years.
Now what’s interesting: We see three stars (the sign of VS) at the bottle neck but it says VIEUX COGNAC. And it comes from the Fins Bois area. Vieux means OLD, but three stars are not really old, as it means it’s VS = 2 1/2 years aged in oak barrels.
Please, if you have any ideas where this bottle comes from.. give us your comments!
