Last year proved extremely successful in all areas of the LMVH portfolio, returning a 16 per cent revenue increase and sales of 23.7 billion euros.
Their wines and spirits group – which includes Hennessy Cognac – showed a healthy 10 per cent rise in organic sales and 18 per cent in recurring operations.
Hennessy boosts LVMH results
Sales of high end cognacs to the Asian market played a key role in these figures. The group remains quietly confident that this trend will continue into 2012. We can expect to see innovative and strong marketing throughout the coming year.
This is likely to include various higher end cognacs being produced and targeted specifically towards growing and potentially growing markets.
