2011 sees the WhiskyLIVE and International Fine Spirits Exhibition held in Taipei’s (Taiwan) World Trade Centre also include cognac producers among its exhibitors.
Now in its third year, WhiskyLIVE presents cognac brands such as Cognac Prunier, Deau, La Gabare and Guy Lheraud alongside the large range of whiskies from around the world. Last year the exhibition welcomed around 12,500 visitors through the door, and this year this is expected to rise to over 15,000.

Along with whisky and cognac, there will also be a strong presence from producers of vodka, gin, rum, brandy, tequila and various liqueurs. The idea of the exhibition is for consumers to get the chance to meet master blenders, cellar masters and production staff who create their favourite tipple, and of course have the chance to taste spirits and brands that they might not have yet had the chance to do.
It’s also interesting to see that the shows organisers take responsible drinking extremely seriously. To this end there is free bottled water to drink, a large food area and a Taiwanese taxi service available to get people home safely without the need to drink and drive.
The show is held on the 27th and 28th August, 2011 at the Taipei World Trade Centre, Hall 3.
