Three Stars Gaston De Lagrange Cognac with a beautiful map

One of our readers sent us pictures and information of his Gaston De Lagrange, S.A Selection Cognac. It’s a three star VS Cognac. Admitted, it’s not an old Cognac, but we try to publish all bottles we receive.

(If you also have a bottle you would like to submit, send us photos and information: Use this form)

He writes:

When my grandparents passed away a Couple of years ago, we began clearing the house and basement because the house had been sold, in the basement we found quite a few vintage bottles of alcohol, the following is 1 of 5 different brands of unopened bottles of Cognac.

Gaston De Lagrange, S.A Selection Cognac

On the bottle neck on the little round label there are the words. “by appointment to his late majesty king Alexander 1, and his majesty king peter 2” followed by 3 stars. Besides those words and the title, there is not much text on the front.

On the back however there is a very pretty map along with the words “Notre congnac provient de la selection des meilleurs vins recoltes dans la region de Congnac, et distilles selon la traditionnelle methode charentaise. Loge en futs de chenes, il est eleve dans nos chais sous le controle de l’administration francaise”. I have no idea of the age or value of the bottle so i thought i could post it here for other people to enjoy.

We also have a bottle similar to the first photo Gaston de Lagrange in the same statement by appointment to His late Majesty King Alexander I and a royal shield two-headed eagle, in early 1900 that was a gift to King of Spain Alfonso XIII and turn a gift to someone you trust.
We are interested in selling it.

I am in search for a 3 star bottle, any year as long as label is in good shape.
This is for my brother who is dying.
    Thanks to all

I have a Gaston de LaGrange Cognac Napoleon in a Limoges Statue of Liberty container.
It is unopened and has the original box and authentication certificate.
Where can I check on the value?
