The industrial action by Hennessy staff is gaining momentum.  Early this morning disgruntled employees parked vans and lorries in front of the trading house in Cognac, blocking all from entering or leaving.

The strike is in protest of LMVH’s (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessey) proposed wage increase to its staff of 2.3%.  The unions are demanding 5% and have called on its members to take action.

Other areas of Hennessy are also affected, including the cellars of Haut-Bagnolet and Cherves-Richemont.

This bad feeling commenced last Thursday and seems set to continue until an agreement can be made.
