Perfectly timed for Father’s day in the UK, Remy Martin and the British luxury goods maker, Thomas Lyte, have produced a limited edition gift set.

The set is being produced in a truly limited run of only 30 pieces.  It consists of a 70cl decanter of Remy Martin XO Excellence Cognac and a sterling silver hipflask with a leather cover, embossed with the Remy Martin centaur.  They are presented in a plum coloured leather gift box.

Of course, Remy Martin XO Excellence Cognac, a blend of both Grande and Petite Champagne eaux-de-vie, needs no introduction.  But for those who don’t know, Thomas Lyte is a bespoke English luxury brand, famous for their works in leather and sterling silver.  Fusing contemporary design, traditional values and the finest of English leather and silver, they are known for creating bags, wallets and cufflinks, as well as other gift items.

The choice to pair a hip flask with cognac was very much down to the fact that hip flasks are seen as collector’s items.  First used in the 18th century, they are not only prized today by those who use and collect them, but are also presented as a luxury gift.  And what better drink to have in a hip flask than a good cognac?

The limited edition gift set retails at a cost of £295 sterling, and is available this month from the Thomas Lyte gift store, located in the Burlington Arcade, London, England.
