This spring will see the latest Remy Martin Cognac released to the market.  The Cellar Master’s Selection consists of two separate releases, and the both will be showcased at the March AADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas.

The Remy Martin Prime Cellar Selection Cellar No 16 and the Remy Martin Reserve Cellar Selection Cellar No 28 are both a blend of Petite and Grande Champagne eaux-de-vies.

These new cognacs will be sold exclusively within the travel retail market, and is first being released in the USA.   No 16 is said by Remy to be a ‘powerful cognac with intense vanilla notes,’ and the no 28 ‘a silky cognac with rich candied fruit notes.’

For those who don’t have the chance to travel through a US airport to pick up a bottle, then never fear.  Because both will also be released in Europe in 2015.  The Remy Martin Prime Cellar Selection Cellar No 16 will retail for $74 US dollars (for a 1 litre bottle).  The Remy Martin Reserve Cellar Selection Cellar No 28 will cost $177 for a 70cl bottle and $253 for a 1 litre bottle.

Excitingly, it appears that cellar master, Pierrette Trichet, of Remy, has already identified further cellars and blends, in order to create more blends in this series in the future.  And of course, Cognac Expert will let you know more about them just as soon as we do.

Thanks for posting this! I just got a bottle of this from a friend of mine who got it at the Keflavik (Reykjavik) Iceland duty free and I am amazed. Remy never fails!
