The whole gift pack includes a 70cl carafe and two silky Riedel snifters. There are only 25 boxes in the UK, only available in premium stores such as Harrods. The price of the Remy Martin Coeur de Cognac Summer Edition: 89 pounds.
Cœur de Cognac has had quite a huge summer sampling programme in the UK: in Edinburgh and Oxford for example.
The rather light and fruity cognac sampling was targeted to more than 60 000 potetential buyers.
Anthony Habert, Senior Brand Manager at First Drinks said:
“Cœur de Cognac is perfect for the summer months. It’s a much lighter, fruit-forward, easy-drinking cognac and lends itself well to drinking over ice as an aperitif or served with fruity summer treats such as apricot tart. We really need to engage with drinkers and educate them on the versatility of the liquid, which is still seen by some consumers as more of a winter drink.
Sampling at food festivals gives us the ideal platform to showcase the remarkable flavour profile of Cœur de Cognac and demonstrate how cognac is just as enjoyable in the summer as it is in winter. Driving trial and introducing cognac to new drinkers, especially during these warmer months, is vital. By investing in marketing activity such as the new gift pack and sampling, we hope to really invigorate the category.”
Hm.. sounds good. Good for enthusiasts and Cognac lovers – as a gift of coures. But hey! Why does the “heart of cognac” launches now, almost in September? Is UK weather so much better than in France?
All the best for this light launch.
