A reader just sent us photos of his Rouyer Guillet & Cie Cognac bottle.. a cognac house we’ve never heard of! But that’s the beauty with cognac. So much diversity.
Who knows something about this bottle?
(If you also have a Cognac bottle you would like to sell, or you need information about age or value – send us photos and information, just submit: Use this form – but please be aware: if you don’t follow the steps precisely, we will not publish your bottle.)

The label reads: Fondee 1701 Product of France. Thats all what’s written on the bottle, nothing on the back label! Very odd. Who is the producer or négociant? We assume this cognac could be a Grande Champagne blend.
Our reader’s friend received the bottle 31 years ago and of course never opened it.

Hello!
I also have a very similar bottle of Cognac, labelled as Rouyer Guillet & Cie Cognac, est. 1701.
Interesting we have almost the same exact bottle!
Did you manage to find any leads on this producer, and the value of this bottle?
Would love any information — thank you!
Hi, i have the same bottle, it has a very fine wine netting around the bottle with a lead seal, and a label around the neck of the bottle saying “Le Cognac des Rois de France” Brevet Royal sous louis XIV. I bought it approx 31 years ago and then it was 50 years old. I worked at John Dewars in those days. If you have any info would much appreciate its value.
I have interest to buy the said cognac. pls contact me.

To all sellers: Please post pictures of your bottles on separate threads so potential buyers know what you have and can bid on it. There is no way to contact you when you post a message like this in an existing thread. Scott what exactly do you have? I need pictures to evaluate your bottle. I suggest you take some photos and use the “Submit your bottle function” at the bottom of this page to offer it for sale.
I have this, completely as “new”. Who can offer for higher price?
Bottle of 1914 Vintage Grande fine champagne cognac ROUYER GUILLET & CIE ullage top of neck Just acquired at auction. No idea of value if any. Can anyone suggest if I should drink it or sell it please?
Hi Jane,
Did you submit your Cognac for auction with cognac-expert.com? I guess this is a matter of personal valuation. I suggest that you wait for an estimation of the value and decide then.
Have a great day!
