If new products should be judged by the name they’re given, then the latest product by Godet Cognac should stand firmly at the top of the leader board.
Nattily named, O de Poire is the brand new, ‘light’ version of the cognac house’s current fruity cognac – Pearadise. However, O de Poire has been produced to specifically target the female market, and will be launched at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes, France, next month.
At 17 per cent ABV, the liqueur, O de Poire is described by Godet Cognac as a “fresh, fruity and original drink” that the cognac firm hopes will help deliver the joy of drinking cognac to a wider audience.
The CEO of Godet Cognac said, “Expanding the boundaries of Cognac is what we are after.” It’s hoped that O de Poire will sit well in the portfolio of Godet’s recently produced offerings, Pearadise and the Ice Cognac, Antarctica.
We don’t currently have an exact price for O de Poire, but it’ll probably retail at somewhere close to that of Pearadise, that can be purchased from around €30 per bottle.
