This is an interesting bottle which was probably bottled after 1936 when the official formation of the cognac cru’s was established. However the term Fine Champagne was certainly used in many cases by producers and negociants before that time. The cognac is almost certainly blrnded and as such cannot be of great value as there is no vintage mentioned. Meukow is part of Compagnie Commerciale de Guyenne. The term Napoleon is not significantly supportive to it’s age, it mearly implies that it is more than six and a half years old and it is amost certainly more than this.

AC Meukow was owned by my family for 100 years, TD Shepherd was my great uncle. The new owners do not mention any of this in their patchy history. I have the history and information on this once great cognac House.
