And here comes another launch. And another limited edition: The Martell XO Architect Edition by Christian de Portzamparc. The archtiect is known for buildings such as the Headquarters of the press group “Le Monde”, Hergé museum in Belgium, Hotel Renaissance Wagram in Paris and The City of Music in Paris.
For the first time the Architect Edition will be released in travel retail, and will debut at Hong Kong International airport in September 2012.
The Martell “Architect” XO Cognac will also be available at Macau and Taiwan airport from December on, later moving out to Kuala Lumpur International airport in 2013.
The limited edition continues previous partnerships with Martell aimed at creating innovative packaging and bottles and a unique cognac drinking experience.
The Martell XO Architect Edition comes in a high-end design case, with mahogany glow light effects. The Martell XO bottle itself has a golden bottle neck and cork, the label is also in gold. The edition is limited to 2,550 bottles and will only be available in Asian Duty Free.
Martell obviously positions this XO Archtiect Edition as a gift, targeted at Asian duty free travellers. This kind of product does not suprise, as Martell has a tradition of collaborating with architects such as Jean Nouvel or Paul Andreu.
And what does this Architect Cognac cost? What’s the price of this XO special edition? Well, we do not know!
