It’s officially a scoop. Cognac Expert had the privilege of interviewing Ludacris (AKA Christopher Brian Bridges), where he revealed some things about Conjure Cognac. The US superstar, artist, actor, businessman and cognac lover took time out from the filming of his latest Hollywood blockbuster movie, THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS 6, to give us the inside information that we’ve all been trying to find out about Conjure Cognac.

Exclusive Interview with Ludacris: The Secret Formula of Conjure Cognac Revealed

We talked to Ludacris about his cognac brand’s new TV commercial, hip-hop & cognac, product placement and whether he really blended Conjure himself – and most importantly, he revealed to us all about what goes into the blend; the secret recipe and ingredients…

Cognac-Expert.com: “Hey, Ludacris.  Thanks for taking the time to talk to us.  Love the new Conjure Cognac TV commercial, and we were wondering, what’s the music that features in the clip?  Was it a song you chose yourself, and why did you pick it?”

Ludacris: “Thank you, and I’m glad you enjoyed the new Conjure Commercial.  The song in the commercial is called, ‘So Good”,’ produced by 1500 North or Nothin’ featuring Uncle Chucc of 1500 North or Nothin’.  The director, Larenz Tate, and myself wanted the score to enhance the visual, and at the same time keep a classical undertone to the commercial.”

C-E:  “Can you tell us a bit about your trip to Jarnac in France in order to craft your own blend?  Is it true that you actually blended it yourself?”

Conjure Cognac is a blend of XO (at least 6 yrs.), VSOP (at least 4 yrs.) and VS (at least 2 yrs.)

Ludacris:  “Yes. I did blend it with the help of a master blender that had been in the business over half of his life.  It was an eye opening and truly amazing experience to make my own cognac from scratch.  I blended a VS, VSOP & XO together as one, so it has unique and very expensive taste with an affordable price.”

C-E:  “Obviously we watched the movie, NO STRINGS ATTACHED, starring, among others. Ashton Kutcher and yourself.  Pretty cool that it features Conjure!  Did you have the whole crew drinking cognac?”

Ludacris:  “Yes! I actually did.  They all loved it, and said it over exceeded their expectations in terms of how smooth it was.  Ashton Kutcher (the twitter king) even tweeted about it.”

C-E:  What’s your favorite way of drinking cognac?  And on what kind of occasion do you enjoy it the most?”

Ludacris:  “I like to drink my Conjure Cognac neat.  Conjure is such a mixable cognac, this summer my drink of choice was the Conjure Punch.  Lately, I’ve been drinking the new Conjure Hot Toddy.”

C-E:  “It seems to be a passionate love affair: cognac and the world of hip-hop… Why d’you think that is?”

Ludacris:  “They just seem to go together like peanut butter and jelly, LOL.  Cognac has been the drink of choice for many hip-hop artists and a part of the culture since hip-hop began.”

C-E:  “D’you think there’s any chance you’ll be return to Jarnac in order to create an XO edition of Conjure?”

Ludacris:  “With the success of the brand I’m looking forward to expanding and progressing, so the fans will dictate when and how fast.”

C-E:  “Thank you for the interview, and we wish you – and Conjure Cognac – all the best for the future.”
