Just in case you weren’t aware of it, this coming weekend heralds the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in the UK.  The whole country is shutting down for a four day weekend of celebrations, and how better to toast 60 years of her reign than with a decadent cognac cocktail.

Louis XIII Cristal Leviev and Cocktail

But we’re not talking about any old cocktail, oh no.  We’re talking of a collaboration between Remy Martin’s Louis XIII and the Four Season’s Hotel in London’s prestigious Park Lane, served up with a stupendous Leviev diamond.

The ‘Diamond Jubilee Fizz’ has been created by the Four Season’s Amaranto bar manager, Divide Guide.  With a base of what is perhaps the world’s most famous cognac – Remy Martin Louis XIII – this deep mahogany cocktail is blended with raspberry liqueur, rose essence and finished off with Louis Roederer Cristal Champagne.  Not forgetting, of course, the Leviev diamond on the side.

Tasting notes for the cocktail say that on first sip you’ll experience an explosion of flavours.  These ’fireworks’ mellow during drinking for a smooth finish that can remain on the palate for up to an hour – delicious…

Diamond Jubilee Fizz

The decadent Diamond Jubilee Fizz will be available at the Amaranto Bar throughout the month of June – at the cool price of £10,000.

And if you fancy tasting this cocktail masterpiece for perhaps a little less outlay, you can take advantage of the ‘Jubilee Fizz’ cocktail – exactly the same ingredients, but with the Leviev diamond replaced by a rose petal.
