Here at Cognac-Expert, we’re always happy to see efforts to promote not only Cognac, but everything to do with the wonderful area of the world that is the Charente and Charente Maritime.
So the magazine, Living Poitou Charentes, naturally gets the thumbs up from us, as it really does tick all the boxes. One thing that can be a little frustrating for those who’re not fluent in French can be the lack of decent information that you can truly find in English. And this is where Living Poitou Charentes Magazine steps in to neatly fit that gap.
And, we have to say, it’s great to have a magazine that’s printed in physical form, as well as online. (Call us old fashioned, because whilst we naturally embrace everything about the phenomenon that is the World Wide Web, there’s something inimitable about having a hard copy to read).
So, what can you expect from the magazine? Well, of course, there are some great articles about Cognac – after all, how could a magazine about the region not run articles about the Charente’s greatest export? This month’s features an in-depth look into one of the true eaux-de-vie success stories – that of Hine Cognac. Plus there are some great ideas for the perfect Cognac to give as a Christmas gift.
But there’s a whole host of other wonderful information – from the wildlife you can expect to find in the area to dates for your diary and events in the region. Oh – and make sure you check out page four of the December issue, where you might notice a couple of familiar names in the rogues gallery….
Living Poitou Charentes is available online as an e-magazine or, for the ‘hold in your hands’ physical copy, can be ordered for worldwide delivery (6 editions – bi-monthly – at €28 for France, €36 elsewhere in the EU and €48 for the rest of the world): For subscriptions go to Living Poitou Charentes website.
