It’s not a cognac this time – as an exception. Lafite Rothschild Très Vieille Réserve 1996 Armagnac bottle. Our reader’s wife got the Armagnac from an earlier boyfriend in 1996-1997. The couple found it today and is wondering how good and expensive this Armagnac is.

As you can see the wax seal has dried out and broke over the years. It looks kind of a very dark brown-ish color, so I\’m not sure if it was black or red originally. The cork inside the straw basket is dark aswell.
