You’ve got a bottle: One of our dear readers sent us this J&F Martell Cordon Argent Cognac, imported to the US by Park & Tilford.
The reader’s parents received the bottle as a gift at least 25 years ago and gave it to the reader recently.
(If you also have a bottle you would like to submit, please use our form)
I’d love to know what it is, exactly. Thank you in advance for your consideration. It is in a blue Martell box, bottled in a Baccarat decanter (Baccarat mark on the bottom of the base).
The center label reads: “Very Fine Liqueur Cognac – J&F Martell CORDON ARGENT – Martell & Co (?) – Cognac, France – Produce of France”
The label on the base reads: ” Park & Tilford – Import Corporation – New York , N.Y. – 4/5 Quart – Sole Agents For U.S.A. – 80 Proof”. The seal reads: “36A2832765 – Park & Tilford Import Corporation – New York, N.Y. – Martell Cognac Brandy”
Attached are pictures of the bottle in the box, the box and the neck of the bottle. The box measures approximately 10″ x 7.25″ x 5″.
Every comment will be appreciated, thanks in advance for information about price, value or any fun facts.
