Our readers writes:
This bottle came from an estate auction from a gentleman that travelled from the midwest to California then settled in Oregon. The story is that He purchased this bottle and another bottle of AQUAVIT No1 in 1920, when they started their travels. When they got to Oregon they opened both bottles, consuming half the Hennessy and only a couple shots of the Aquavit No1. (he and his wife each had some), then both bottles were resealed with wax in the late 1940’s and never opened again. ( I also purchased the bottle of Aquavit No1)

This is the wax seal that was put on the bottle in the late 1940’s
