I have the same exact bottle of JG Monnet Cognac except mine was purchased in Italy by my grandfather imported from france to Italy, It has a date on the back label indicating the bottle in from 1929. Other than that the bottles are exactly the same. I will accept offers for the bottle at the above e mail address.

I call BS here… nobody is going to pay $800 for that bottle. It is regular *** cognac from the 1940s! I bought 5 of these for $60 each at an auction in France a couple of years ago… All consumsed and sold by now but nothing great.
About the same as Martell VOP except with a less prestigeous name. I wouldn’t pay over $125 for one of these bottles. Did anyone here actually sell a bottle at these ridiculous prices?
