When it comes to cognac, nowadays it’s as much about the packaging and design of the bottle or decanter as the precious liquid within. So it comes as no surprise that there’s a globally recognised award ceremony that celebrates that very area.

The Pentawards – now in its 6th year – was held in Paris on the 4th October at the Hotel Intercontinental Le Grande.
Over 1500 packaging designs from 47 countries were judged by an international array of experts. And this year, the luxury spirits category was won by the cognac house of Hine, for it’s Hine Triomphe Decanter.
The Hine Triomphe Decanter had a makeover earlier in 2012, and the new bottle was designed by TOSCARA. Simple yet elegant, angular yet smooth, the decanter blew away the competition to be awarded the coveted first place.
