Hine Cognac has launched a brand new, miniature presentation box that contains three of its finest cognacs: The Tasting Collection. Containing three different 15ml bottles (a single measure), this is the first launch of what will ultimately be a series of patented mini presentation collection.
The classy box has been designed by A2C, with the aim of conveying the values and traditions that this historic Cognac house holds dear, as well as having a double security feature to ensure the authenticity of the eaux-de-vie within.
Per Even Allaire, Ambassador for Hine Cognac, says of the new product,
“Produce little, but the best – this is an important Hine motto. And this mini presentation case is eminently suitable. With just 15ml, there is nothing superfluous, just one single measure. The format encourages modest consumption, but this presentation box has other advantages, especially in communicating Hine’s qualities. The packaging sleeve features several images and an informative message. This refined and simple presentation is ideal for its purpose; opening up the world of Hine Cognacs to a growing global family of connoisseurs.”
So, what Cognac’s are contained in this first launch of the series?
Hine Rare VSOP
Created from 25 different eaux-de-vie, each from Grande Champagne or Petite Champagne (with over 50% being from Grande Champagne). A delicate, well-rounded Cognac with hints of vanilla, oak, jasmine, acacia and fruit.
Paying homage to Thomas Hine, this is a unique blend Cognacs; three of these are Grande Champagne, early landed eaux-de-vie (1984, 1986 and 1987), aged in England. Other eaux-de-vie in the blend are some very old Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne, all combining to produce a long lasting and fresh taste. And, as is typical of Cognacs aged in England, there are wonderful hints of citrus fruits and crystallised orange peel.
Hine Antique XO
This premier cru Cognac was created almost a century ago, in 1920. It’s a complex and rich Cognac, made from a blend of over 40 different eaux-de-vie. On tasting you’ll notice hints of baked apple, chocolate, vanilla, spices and liquorice.
We don’t yet have a price for the Hine Tasting Collection, but as soon as we know, we’ll let you know. And we’ll be doing a tasting review on this ourselves, so keep your eyes peeled for that as well.
