Ever the masters at combining art and cognac, Hennessy have unveiled their latest design of the XO carafe. And this time they’ve collaborated with renowned British designer, Tom Dixon. The Hennessy XO Exclusive Collection by Tom Dixon is a unique and contemporary interpretation of the traditional XO carafe, with a visual tribute to the 100+ eaux-de-vies that go into creating the cognac.

Tom’s works are enjoyed around the world in the field of furniture, lighting and accessories. Many of his iconic pieces are on display in museums such as the Victoria and Albert in London, the Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo, The Centre Beauborg in Paris and The New York Museum of Modern Art.
His passion is for innovative design, manufacture and vision, and, as he says, “to illuminate and develop the future”. Of his Hennessy creation, Tom says, “ The Hennessy XO decanter is a timeless subject that I wanted to deal with in an original and modern manner. It’s a real collector’s item in itself”. The decanter has been created using an advanced technique that allows a mosaic of crystal and reflected light. Each copper coloured, crystal cut facet is designed to mirror the quality of the cognac contained within.

And the Hennessy XO cognac itself? Well, this is a classic cognac that’s remained unchanged since its inception. Created by Maurice Hennessy in 1870, Hennessy XO was, and remains to this day, an eaux-de-vie that is well deserving of its place on the smartest of dinner tables around the world.
The Hennessy XO Exclusive Collection by Tom Dixon is available in France & UK to purchase this month, October 2014, at cost of around 190 Euros per decanter. It was first released end of 2013.
