Her husbanded was a very important person in Boston and well respected, so everyone around the city he would work with gave him gift’s. This was one of them from a local liquor store owner in Boston. My Grandfather was not to big of a drinker and when he died in 1989 my grandmother didn’t know what to do with all the liquor in the house so she just stored it. When I came down to help her move into a new place she was going to throw all her liquor away but before she did so I looked at all of them and came across this bottle. I thought it might have some value to it so I asked her if I could take it and she said yes. So this is why I’m here is sell the bottle for it value and so I can give her the money that I’m going to sell it for.”
