Hi Cognac Expert! Thanks for featuring my Cognac. I am actually looking to sell this bottle. So if anyone is interested, please let me know with your offer.
1981 Martell Maison fondee en 1715 Cordon Bleu Cognac 750ml. 80 proof product of France We received this as a gift. Just being curious because of the age of the bottle, it still has a pinkish seal on the top. What is the value of this, it is still in the BOX.
I am interested in buying this bottle. Can you comment here how much you would like for this cognac.
Thanks

If you want to sell your cognac bottles.

I don’t see a sale concluded above so I will make an offer to buy at $1,600 + shipping expenses. Please go through Sebastian to get my E-mail if you want to accept my offer.
The staining/yellowing is caused by cellar mold. Contrary to wine, cognac should not be kept in a humid cool cellar and not stored laying down as the high alcohol content will dissolve the cork. Best storage is upright in a dark and dry place. Cognac does not suffer at warm/hot temperatures so a regular closet/cupboard inside a home is far better than a cellar. Dry is very important to protect the boxes which are a big part of the value of luxury decanter sets like yours.
I still have one “Nostalgie de Bagnolet” for sale. It is almost complete: the cover box is missing, but the rest (stand, brochure, etc.) is there.
The bottle still has the plastic sealing, so it has never been opened.
Anyone interested?

Thank you!
Are there any value of the following empty decanters that I have? Glenfiddich 30 year Silver Stag, Bowmore Turnberry Golf Decanter, Napolean Sempe The Crown Crystal decanter, numerous porcelain Camus Book decanters, etc..
THANKS…Paul
Dear Paul, thank you for your comment. I am afraid there is no real value in those empty bottles.
