Here comes another Hennessy Bras Armé Cognac bottle. This one is located  in Texas.

The Reader writes “ Someone who was deeply in love with my mother gifted her this bottle in the 1960’s. No doubt the bottle evoked memories of that relationship. After saving it for decades, she recently gave it to me for my chocolates (I am a chocolatier). I felt that this fine cognac should be savored on its own.”

This is a recent bottle. Bras Arme is the name Hennessy used for VS grade cognac until the mid-1980s. This bottle is from before the name change because it doesn’t say VS on the round label. It is not an early bottle because early Bras Arme bottle also had 3 stars on the label and this one doesn’t. My guess is that your bottle is 1980-1983
Value is about $50. Unfortunately not a very collectible cognac.

This bottle is pre -1977 all bottles in u.s. are in ml’s after that, so being a 4/5qt puts it before 1977

Very good catch Roman. I have an early 60s bottle and it has a moon-shaped Bras Arme/*** label. Later the bottles had just the Bras Arme logo on the moon-shaped label. Then they started using the round black labels like this one which they continued to use when they switched the name to VS. The bottle could be late 60s or early 70s.
