Okay, so it’s that time of year again. You know, the clocks are changing, less light in the evenings and for many of us, it’s dark when we go to work, and dark when we leave. Enough to wipe the smile from even the most optimistic of person’s face…

But hold on a moment – because when you think about it, its not actually all doom and gloom. In fact, for the cognac lover, this is the time of year when our beloved tipple really starts to come into it’s own. After all, there’s nothing more satisfying than the feeling of your favourite cognac warming in your belly when it’s cold outside.

And the first ‘event’ that marks the onset of winter is the razzmatazz that is Halloween. And happily, this is now not simply a party that the kids can enjoy, but adults as well.  When it comes to Halloween,  there’s no better way of joining in the fun than with some delectable cognac cocktails. So get out your cauldrons, ramp up the spook factor with some ‘oh-so-tasteful’ fake body parts (such as eyeballs, severed fingers and a brain), and enjoy your eaux-de-vie in the following delightful Halloween cognac cocktail gore-fest…

Each of the amounts in the recipes is for a single cocktail. If making more than one, simply multiply the amounts by the number of cocktails you wish to make.
