Two suspects, two different dates, two bottles.

Actually you read about cognac thefts all the time, but this time it’s slightly different. A $2,800 bottle was stolen from the Bolton LCBO on Jan. 13 and Jan. 18…

Cognac Thief Louis XIII stolen!

Now wait. They came back, because they didn’t steal the right bottle? Probably they took a cheap VS the first time, but the second time it was a Louis XIII from the house of Rémy Martin? Not quite. First they stole the Louis XIII, and then they came back, and went for the Johnny Walker Black Whiskey, some days later.

Did they even know how rare the Louis XIII is? Did they know it’s such a valuable item, from the cellars of Charente… probably not.

Grand Theft Cognac?

The Police sent out a press release with the security camera images (above), asking for help. The two persons are believed to be the luxury thefts. Both men are between 30 and 40 years old – www.peelcrimestoppers.ca will be happy to get some tips.
