He writes: “This bottle was given to my Grandfather by one of his patients in March 1965. My Grandfather was a brain surgeon. In the letter which accompanied this gift, the patient writes, ‘I am assured that this particular bottle of Brandy is almost unique, their being but one other bottle of it’s year known to be in existence.’ “

I will offer US$500 for this cognac.
My father had a bottle of this and sold it some years ago. The only other bottle we knew of at the time was at a pub in the Wye Valley in Wales called the Tintern arms(?)
It would appear that my father owns the other bottle in question. It is in pristine condition never having the seen the light of day and has the original wrapper and box. He would be very interested in selling it and is based in Surrey.
