A reader sent us this Courvoisior Fine Champagne Cognac and is asking for some further information.

This is what the reader tells us about the bottle “This bottle was in my parents bar, both have passed away and I found this while going through the house. It is still in the box and I do know it was purchased in the 70’s and was actually hoping it was still good to drink. But after seeing your wonderful website I would also be interested in knowing if it has any value. My husband loves cognac and would be happy to open the bottle and toast my parents, of course balanced by the value. Anything you can let me know about this bottle would be appreciated very much. “

Not a highly collectible bottle. It is from after 1952 because it mentions the “Late King George VI”. I would estimate it was bottled around 1960-1965.
Napoleon cognac is one grade above VSOP so it is a very nice drinking cognac.
I would estimate value at $75-$100 but you may get as much as $125 for it from a true Courvoisier lover.
