Well, if you’re a fan of Courvoisier VSOP then you best stock up on your tipple fast, because the favoured blend of many is set to change.
Courvoisier have altered the recipe due to increasing demand by mixologists and bar tenders as a cocktail component. So in response to this, Master Blender, Patrice Pinet has created a “floral and fruity character with vanilla notes.”
Courvoisier VSOP’s new recipe: Fine Cognac
Key market places, which include both Russia and the UK, will see the new blend hit the shelves from November 2012. The rest of the world will have to wait until the New Year for the global release.
Courvoisier’s Global Senior Marketing Manager, Claire Richards, said of the cognac houses reasoning for the change,
“Cognac is increasingly served with ice or mixed in cocktails across many of our key markets, so as a key marque within our range and one of the world’s best-selling VSOP cognacs, it is important that our VSIO displays its full complexity of flavours when mixed.
The new Courvoisier VSOP Fine Cognac will be presented in the classic Courvoisier shaped bottle and will sell at £32.99 UK sterling.
