Kilian Hennessy, the patriarch of the famous cognac company has died at the age of 103 years, he died on Friday in Switzerland.
The former banker entered Hennessy with his cousin and his brother in 1945, born in February 19th 1907.

The member of the fifth generation of Irishman Richard Hennessy was CEO of the family company in the 70’s. The company itself was founded in 1765 and in 1971 Kilian was responsable for merging Hennessy with champagne house Moet & Chandon. In 1987 the company became a part of Louis Vuitton (today LVMH) – Kilian Hennessy was an advisory board member until his deat.
Like no other, Kilian helped expanding Hennessy’s businness, defending the company’s leading position as biggest cognac seller in the world.
