Cognac.com changes owners, for a price of $140,000. It’s not the first time cognac.com is sold again.

Dallas based company “Weblabcenter” sold Cognac.com for $140,000, as a domain information website says. Just the domain! If you go to the website of cognac.com now, you will only find an error message. So that means that somebody paid hundred fourty thousand dollars alone to obtain the domain.

cognac.com

Back in 2008, Weblabcenter purchased the domain name in a Sedo GreatDomains auction for $90,000. So that’s a good return of investment over 4 years. Appartently the blog never really took off, the page did not look great over the last years.

We are curious what the BNIC will think about this, as after al, the name “cognac” is a protected trademark.

The buyer is anonymous, for now. But we might find out; but the whois entry seems to be protected by a pricacy service.

Other liquor name domain sales: Vodka.com was sold for $3 Million to a Russian businessman! And there was a six-figure Sale on Whiskey.com.
