June 18-25 are the dates for this year’s Week of Cognac – marking the beginning of the summer season and some delicious ways to partake in the delights of eaux-de-vie. 260 restaurants, bars and retailers in departments Charente Maritime, Charente, Vienne and Deux-Sevres are taking part.
The Bureau National Interprofessional Cognac is the brains behind this promotion. Now in its sixth year, the event is designed to educate people to the pleasure of cognac and show the many different facets of this unique spirit.
The theme throughout is the specially created cognac cocktail ‘Summit,’ along with various dishes created with that extra-special cognac ingredient. Not to mention gourmet coffees, cognac tasting sessions and other delicious cocktails.
Along with all the food and drink there will be many animations, including concerts, picnics and specially created theme menu evenings.
