The small, family run cognac producer, ABK6 ended the year 2010 in great style when three of their vintages were awarded medals in the 2010 London Spirits Challenge.
These medals are awarded in recognition of the world’s best international spirits for that particular year and are the latest in long line for ABK6.
Elodie Abecassis, who heads the family estate, is naturally delighted. She speaks of the three vintages which have been recognised:
- ABK6 VS Pure Single – awarded a gold medal
- ABK6 Grand-Cru Cognac Leyrat – awarded a gold medal
- ABK6 XO Family Reserve ‘Le Reviseur’ – awarded a silver medal
These awards are a great honour and boost for this relatively small producer. ABK6 consists of 240 acres of vines in the heart of the AOC Cognac region, and they carry out all stages of production in-house: from the vine to the bottle, and these awards recognise their excellence in this field.
