Just in time for the Chinese New Year, and kicking off its 250 anniversary year, Hennessy launches a special limited edition of its highly desirable Hennessy XO.
Designed by the creative team of Appartement 103 in Paris, the new design and packaging is kept in an elegant black and gold color scheme. The letters X and O are abstracted and blown up to adorn the gift box and the bottleneck.
Marc Savary, Appartement 103’s Creative Director describes his efforts for the LVMH Cognac house as follows: “The gift box consists of a modern yet abstract graphic play of “X” and “O” letters, that combined with a high level of refinement, paper textures, embossing, gold hot foil, and depth of dark brown, enhances the celebrating spirit. The interior is vibrant, played with shiny and mat gold effects, showcasing the bottle like a treasure in a festive, yet controlled manner.”
Julien Zylbermann, also from the creative team adds that the bottle design is a tribute to Hennessy’s visionary founder, Maurice Hennessy, who was the inventor of the now commonly used term “XO”back in 1870.
