Remy Martin just presented an overview of their tourist activities. Compared to last year the cellar visits (in the centre of the town of Cognac) went up by 300%.
60% of the visitors are french and 40% are from abroad. The scandinavians are quite heavy visitors in 2011. Remy also offers a “rendez-vous Rémy Martin“, a one-day-long stay at the cognac house: the reservations for this special tour went up by 200%.
One third of “Rendez-vous” visitors are on corporate trips, one third come from tourism companies and the rest are individuals. Most of the rendez-vous visitors are French, followed by the English and Americans.
The price for those rendez vous at the cognac house of Rémy Martin is at € 130 to € 1000, including a Remy XIII tour.
Since July 2011 Remy’s new cognac cellar serves as the house’s tourism location. The rates for visiting went up by 10%.
