Barriasson was founded in 1850 and is nowadays owned by Gaston de Lagrange. Since Barriasson allowed their vintage cognac to mature for a very long time (in 1914 their 1865 vintage had yet to be bottled)it does seem likely your bottle is from the early 1950′s. The seal of the cork is original, identical to the seal which is used to protect all Barriasson’s, going back to the 1820 Réserve du Chateau de Chatenay. A very nice bottle, worth between 1000-1250 Euro’s.
