Martell Cordon Bleu Cognac – The Ultimate Jewel to Celebrate 100 Years

How’s this for a superb collaboration Martell and one of Paris’s oldest jewellery houses – House of Boucheron – in celebration of the centenary year of Martell Cordon Bleu Cognac. We discovered the bottle in Monaco, months ago.

‘The Ultimate Jewel’ is a unique and iconic cognac bottle produced in the finest of crystal, diamond, gold and lapis-lazuli, the bottle is presented in a specially designed box in the blue colours of Martell and lined with an ivory veal leather skin interior.

The bottle is testimony to both Martell and Boucheron, with the symbol of a swallow and the name Martell linking gracefully to the infinity sign (representing 100 years of Cordon Bleu), along with Boucheron’s key codes of a cabochon and gold sculpture work through the godron.

This one off, collector piece was unveiled on the 22nd March 2012 at the Hotel de Paris in Monaco in front of guests such as H.S.H Prince Albert, H.S.H. Princess Charlène and H.R.H. Caroline de Hanovre at the Cordon Bleu Centenary celebrations.

It will now be taken on a tour around the world and displayed in different locations before being auctioned at the end of the year in China.  It’s expected to fetch a price in excess of £100,000.

    Concidering Martell is aiming at the chinese market, I wonder how much additional sugar they decided to add.
    Probably very old cognac. However, I can’t help thinking: Is the content of the nice bottle any better than the £50 22-25 year old Delamain XO? I guess I will never find out… The future buyer will definitely never tell us!

    If you want to test out something expensive that is really worth its money, go for the Normandin Mercier Petite Champagne Vieille. 10 years older, fully developed, naturally reduced and with the bonus of that long after taste.

    I have a bottle of Martell Cordon Bleu Reserve Limitee CB3263, 68cl all seals intact and in original box does anyone know what its worth please
