Léopold Raffin Cognac gets a brand facelift
French Optima Brand Design Global Communication Agency France redesigns the bottles of Léopold Raffin Cognacs, a company established in 1889. The bottle design comes from Patrice Rouillard and reminds of parfume somehow.
The Cognac comes from the Laclie family, which owns 32 hectares of vineyards in the Fins Bois area (cru). The distillery lies in Bercloux, that’s 15 km away from the town of Cognac, and it is one of the last independent distillers in the region. Its product range foes from VS, V.S.O.P to Napoleon, and of course X.O. There is even vintage Cognac, the oldest is from 1900.

Optima executed a new brand identity, label and packaging design. The two letters “LR” are the heart of the redesign, together with colorful labels in yellow, blue and green they make up the new idenity.

By the way: The distillery also produces other spirits, for example H.R. Organic Vodka.
Laclie Alcools Ltd was established by Bertrand Laclie, whose great-grandfather, Leopold Raffin, founded the family’s distillery. Interesting: The company actually specialises in bulk alcohol products and private labels spirits.
Also, it provides services such as new product development, bottling facilities, technical advices, and product samples.
