We were contacted some days ago by Olivier, who has a great nickname and who is a passionate collector of Hennessy bottles; special editions and bottles of some quite rare limited editions, standard bottles, old bottles… well, everything. We thought this would be something to share:
My name is Olivier, I’m 32 years old. My friends call me ‘Don Henny’ because of my big passion for Hennessy.
Hennessy collection
This is a list of what I’ve tasted:
VS, Fine, VSOP “Privilge& Fine Champagne& Grande Reserve”, XO & XO Grande Champagne, Napoleon “Bras d’Or”, Paradis, Privé, Kenzo, Black, Hennessy White (Pure White), Classique, Private Reserve 1873, Le Peu, Izambard, Camp Romain, Bras d’Or, Napoleon Tome Book Red.
Hennessy Limited edition
This all started well 15 years back, when I drank cognac for the first time. This was Hennessy VS, which my friends & I like to call the Hammer.

So i discoverd Hennessy & plesure to drink it. Even until today…I still discover new things they created.
I started collecting slowley different kinds of bottles and bar atributes 8 years ago… Now I’ve got around 160 bottles of Hennessy, including all my doubles.

‘Doubles’: So I can taste one and leave one closed for the collectible value.
I also collect most of the other items they have from Hennessy, like glass, toy cars ,t’shirts, mirrors & everything else.

So through all these years I have now also tasted many different products of Hennessy.

Another bullshit story to misguide us. Why Hennesy never offer us the best of these 64 spirits?
Then maybe the expensive bottle might be worth paying for. Please don’t add the normal rate of sugar.

I have an old jas hennessy& co cognac bottle, it tis a carmel color. I found it in an old warehouse that I am tearing down. most of the stuff that i have got out of it is from the 30 s and 40 s. please help me if you might can and tell how old it is and what kind of value it may have.

Hello, I was wondering if you knew anything about Hennessy Bras D’or Golden Barrel – I have an empty bottle and the original box and I was wondering if there was any value to it. Thank you for your help!

Awesome Blog! Too far and few Hennessy “Connoisseurs “. I too have a collection but nothing as Don Henny’s. Just a few bottles of V.S., Obama, Kaws, VSOP, Silver, Black, White, X.O., Paradis So i can appreciate seeing something with this much dedication and passion. This opens my eyes to soo much more out there that i never knew existed. Hopefully one day i will be fortunate enough to make it out to the region of Cognac and visit the Hennessy operation. Nice work gentlemen.
Does anyone know how much a Hennessy Private Reserve 1865 cost today? I was told the 1873 would be more expensive.
