Hedonist is made with VS Cognac. So we just got the latest news about this new product: It’s the blend of Cognac, ginger and vanilla and will be launched in 2011. We reported about it some weeks ago, see here.

We finally managed to get some early, exclusive information from the producers of this new drink: The kick-off launch will not be US, but first Asia. Then USA, UK, Russia and Australia. Of course then the question will be: Where can you buy Hedonist? In selected bars and clubs or retailers? We’ll find out.

The price of Hedonist Cognac mixdrink remains a secret, we’ll know more by the end of april.

But, and that is quite an important piece of information, the VS cognac in this drink actually comes from Merlet.

Merlet launched a cognac range called ‘Brothers Blend‘ that is a blend that consists 80% of Fins Bois and 20% of Grande and Petite Champagne. ‘Brothers Blend’ is marketed as a mixable cognac – so it’s highly likely that a similar VS is used for Hedonist. With a lifted and gentle taste, this 22° liquor is consumed on the rocks with lime, in a glass of champagne or with sparkling water.
It can also be mixed with white wine, fruit juice or as a cocktail.
