Remy Martin Louis

Remy Martin Louis XIII

My boyfriend received this bottle from his grandfather years ago.  The grandfather has since passed away, so we can’t asked when he received it.  We’ve been trying to determine its age and value. The front label reads:
GRANDE CHAMPAGNE LOUIS XIII BRAND
Rarest Reserve
E. Remy Martin & Co – Cognac

Remy Martin Louis XIII Grande Champagne

Remy Martin Louis XIII Grande Champagne

The back label reads:
Distilled and bottled by E. REMY MARTIN & Co- Cognac, 4/5 Quart, 80 Proof
Imported by RENFIELD IMPORTERS LTD., UNION N.J.
Printed in France, Product of France
The US Internal Revenue Distilled Spirits stamp across the top is numbered 300206311 and lists RENFIELD IMPORTERS, LTD., UNION, N.J.

The word “depose” is on the bottom in raised letters.  In white letters on the bottom:
Top line: “E. REMY MARTIN & CIE” (the IE is underlined and in superscript)
next line: COGNAC, FRANCE, bottom line: MADE IN FRACE BY BACCARAT
There is also a white Baccarat mark on the bottom. There is no box or crystal stopper, but the gold ribbon around the neck appears to be original.

Thank you for your comments.

Louis XIII the bottle looks great, It seems to be original, But with out original box it came with, make this Louis XIII Just plain cognac, may be worth money, but worth less as collection with out original box and paper works. if you need original document for Louis XIII, Maybe you can write to remy martin for paper chase, they keep documents on original Louis XIII’s they have produce.

What might be the age of the cognac in a 1938 Louis XIII Grand Champagne Cognac with certificate attached and in its Blue box untouched wrapping and all with #32 on the bottom of the bottle and on the bottle’s top. This makes it the lowest number I have heard of yet. Also, what might be its value. I will post pictures soon. Thanks. This is so historic and interesting and exciting. Rich

I have the same unopened Baccarat bottle, with all the same labeling, but without ribbon, and no box or documentation. The number is 71571692. Is that a good number?
A number on the bottom looks possibly to be an engraved 31, followed by a raised 2.
