Courvoisier XO Imperial is quite a rich Cognac with some clear orange and steady vanilla notes.

Courvoisier XO Imperial is available in a lot of online stores, liquor shops etc.
The Courvoisier is a blend of Borderies, Petit Champagne and Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie and it presents a real richness and length. The age of the Cognac lies between 20 and 35 years.
Tasting notes of the Courvoisier XO Imperial:
The color: dark caramel
On the nose: flowers, a slow rising of vanilla, nutmeg and orange fruit
The taste: Quite rounded and smooth with hints of orange, vanilla and perhaps a hint of creme brulee, amber
The finish: long, stable finish – the slight sweetness remains – basically quite mellow
The origin: Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne, Borderies
The age: a blend of 20 to 35 years old eaux-de-vie
Price is about 50€ to 100€
If one would like to compare it to the Remy Martin XO, this Cognac is perhaps a bit less complex and less woody and a bit less masculine than the Hennessy XO. The Courvoisier XO would be somehow between the Hennessy and the Remy. The Remy Martin XO is also sweeter than the Courvoisier XO.
In 1994, this cognac was named the “Best Cognac in the World” at an international spirits competition.
The Courvoisier XO bottle is original and appeared in the video of Busta Rhymes “Pass the Courvoisier”.
